The Launch of Rocket City Vending

In mid-2024, William & Rita Andrews purchased Rocket City Vending, a small, local vending business with six locations throughout Huntsville. At the time, William was preparing to leave his corporate position - after previously serving 29 years in the United States Army.  At first glance, there was skepticism, but then they realized the potential. Not just as a new venture, but as a meaningful opportunity for their family.

The Andrews have 10 children, eight that are adopted, four of whom have Down syndrome.  The oldest three with Down syndrome were working age, but faced challenges finding typical employment.  William and Rita knew their daughters could be part of their vending business.  The girls are actively engaged in the business and have learned how to pick inventory, stock coils, count product levels, and always greet customers with a friendly smile and a “hello.”
